Yeo Ryeong Ahn, beginning her doctoral studies in Conducting at the University of Michigan (USA) under the tutelage of Kenneth Kiesler. She holds the master’s degree in Conducting from the University of Illinois in the United States under the guidance of Donald Schleicher, and completed her bachelor’s degree from the Korea National University of Arts. As the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Depart- ment of State, Yeo Ryeong Ahn has been invited to music festivals and masterclasses internationally.
Her mentors include Peter Eötvös, Johannes Schlaefli, Christian Ehwald, and Paavo Järvi among others.
She recently appeared in the La Maestra Competition in Paris and the Gustav Mahler Competition in Bamberg, and has been awarded the Conducting Fellow from the Dallas Opera in the USA.
Recent engagements include conducting the Paris Mozart Orchestra (France), Bamberger Symphoniker (Germany), Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz (Germany), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (Norway), Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (USA), Danubia Orchestra Óbuda (Hungary), Järvi Conducting Academy at the Pärnu Music Festival (Danemark), Baltimore Chamber Orchestra (USA) and Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea).
Yeo Ryeong Ahn has been actively seeking the opportunities to build connections that will enhance the development of the classical music industry in Korea.
